Figured as ‘Baba Yaga’ in Slavic tales, and deformed into a ‘Witch’ in more Eurocentric tales, this ambiguous figure of the feminine at the crossroads must be understood or else we be devoured by her. We must learn how to look her in the face, tend to her wounds, and remind her and us that the feminine in women and in men is a fierce energy that is rightly both feared and revered.
